What is a Wedgehog® made from?

All wedges are manufactured with hypo-allergenic CMHR 30 density foam and are made and designed in the UK.

They also comply with the rigorous requirements of BS 1877 Part 10 for safety and performance and BS 7177 for flammability without the use of any antimony, phosphorus or arsenic based fire retardant treatments.

All our foam is completely baby safe and could even be eaten - although we don't suggest this! There is also no Latex used in the raw materials for the wedge (in the foam or in the cover if purchased).

The only materials used are polyurethane for the foam and a friendly textile for the cover. Our covers are made using a polycotton mix, bamboo, PVC or Amicor.

Some baby devices sold in the UK make use of memory foam...which contains dangerous chemicals - the Wedgehog® has no components of memory foam and is as pure as physically possible.
