Description

For toddlers and children over 15 months old.

Introducing our Child Reflux Wedge for children who have outgrown their cot and moving to a bigger bed, but still need use of a wedge, beyond their first year.

The Child Reflux Wedge fits a standard single bed and raises the angle of your child's sleeping area by 20 degrees. This continued elevation is essential for toddlers and young children with acid reflux, congestion or gastric disorders as it helps them to settle easier and cope with their symptoms at bedtime.

We tested this wedge design with children who were coping with primary reflux and reflux as a secondary condition, as well as children with musculature-skeletal conditions, where a slight elevation was found to be helpful. This picture shows 4 year old Bethany using her Child Wedge.

96% of parents said their child's sleep and reflux symptoms improved over the two week period of testing.

Simply position the Child Reflux Wedge on the child’s bed where the pillow would go, and you’re all set! You can use a pillow on top of the wedge, if your little one prefers.

#Quilted

Why Quilted?

Our Luxury Quilted cover is made from a poly cotton fabric - a blend of polyester and cotton, popularly combined to make clothing, bed sheets and pillow cases.

It is a thin and lightweight fabric, which combines the soft and moisture absorbing properties of cotton with the durable and easy/non-iron properties of polyester.

Breathable and tear-resistant - a good summery cotton fabric that will let the evaporating moisture escape into the air freely.

#Bamboo

Why Bamboo?

It is incredibly soft

Bamboo is to cotton what cashmere is to wool - a more soft and luxurious feel.

Antibacterial

Bacteria does not live well in this fabric. This means it doesn't get smelly after use.

Sensitive

For allergy prone skin, bamboo fabric is perfect. It's anti-static and sits well next to your skin.

Moisture wicking

Bamboo fabric absorbs moisture away from your skin, keeping your little one drier and more comfortable.

Thermo-control

Bamboo fabric is warm, thanks to its hollow microfibre (like wood), yet it's also breathable. Performance in all temperatures.

Sustainable

Bamboo is also very sustainable to grow as it does not require the use of pesticides and grows very quickly in favourable conditions.

Antistatic & deoderising

Bamboo fabric is more antistatic than other types of fabric and also tends to perform better when it comes to odours it has a natural deodorising property.

#Silpure

Why Silpure?

Silpure is an intelligent fibre that dispels household dust mites (HDM), bacteria, fungi, it even repels the growth of MRSA, and is approved by Allergy UK.

Silpure bedding products have been scientifically designed to create a better sleeping environment for those prone to house dust mite allergy... And those who want to safeguard their own health and that of their children.

While sleeping, the skin sheds flakes in the bed, this provides an ideal environment for the fungi, Aspergillus repens, to take hold of these skin flakes and turn them into a nutritious food for the dust-mite. By preventing the growth of fungi, the skin flakes remain too dry for the dust-mite to eat and simply turn to dust. As the food source is missing, the mites cannot live and breed inside bedding.

Of course a sicky baby promotes the growth of nasties so a Silpure Wedgehog® will keep them at bay.

Statistics in the UK have revealed that 1 in every 5 children are diagnosed with asthma or allergic rhinitis.

Babies are particularly vulnerable to dust-mite allergens before their own immune system begins to develop fully.

Gentle, safe and soft

Silpure has been tested for skin safety in a trial that compared it alongside polyester and 100% cotton. Silpure actually measured 'less of an irritant than the 100% cotton' samples. Doctors agree, sleeping in an environment that helps prevent allergens at source will help to prevent sensitization for people of all ages and provide an enhanced sleep environment for those who already suffer from this disorder.

Key Benefits:

  • Anti-bacterial, anti-odour
  • Anti-fungal, anti-house dust mite
  • Durable, long-lasting action
  • Clinically tested with proven benefits
  • Gentle, safe and soft

Products that carry the Silpure™ Trademark are consistent and of high quality, designed to provide a healthier living environment.
